World Cup 2010 South Africa will mark the seventh straight played by the Republic of Korea (RoK) or South Korea. Known as the Taeguk Warriors, the Koreans have the best record out of all the the Asian countries in terms of World Cup shows and they wish to continue to uphold this. World Cup 2010 in South Africa will be their 8th World Cup appearance of all time.
After using the Dutch Manager Pim Veribeek for the last two World Cups, the Korean’s have opted to be managed by Huh Jung-Moo, their first domestic coach in a long while.
The South Korean team secured their spot in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa by defeating their sister Nation North Korea by a single goal and the United Arab Emirates 2-0.
