Durban
Durban is the largest city in the KwaZulu-Natal Province, and is famous for having the busiest port in all of Africa. A popular tourist attraction is the “Golden Mile,” which is a stretch of beachfront located in the heart of Durban.
Although the World Cup will be taking place in winter, Durban’s weather still allows you to enjoy its four kilometers long of beaches, promenades, swimming pools and restaurants.
Durban’s stadium is situated one km from the ocean in the central northern suburb of Stamford Hill, 2 and 4 km respectively from the popular locations of North Beach and South Beach.
For World Cup games in Durban, it is advisable to stay in the Durban area. It is not close enough to drive from any other soccer cities for games.
