Coca Cola Park
Location: Johannesburg, GautengCoca-Cola Stadium, formerly known as Ellis Park Stadium, is a rugby union and football stadium in the city of Johannesburg, South Africa. Coca-Cola Park was demolished and rebuilt in 1982 and has since undergone some major changes to increase its seating capacity to over 60,000 seats in order to prepare for World Cup in South Africa 2010.
It is located in the centre of Johannesburg and has hosted numerous major sporting events including the finals for the 1995 Rugby World Cup where the South African rugby team defeated New Zealand for the championship.
For the World Cup, Johannesburg can be a base for games in Johannesburg, Pretoria/Tshwane and Rustenburg – all are within reasonable driving distance.
