iStopOver for World Cup 2010 is the place on the Internet for renting accommodations during the 2010 World Cup to be held in South Africa in June and July, 2010.

During this extremely busy period, hotel capacity is extremely limited and is tremendously expensive.

As an alternative, iStopOver lets homeowners rent out space in their homes (or even sometimes their entire home) to World Cup Soccer visitors. The World Cup games will take place in nine cities situated all over South Africa. Close to each of these locations, homeowners (or as we call them – Hosts) are renting out space to guests from all over the world.

Guests from all over the world use iStopOver as their source to find great accommodations with South African hospitality. With iStopOver, guests won’t find impersonal check-in, loud noise from other guests, and extra charges at every step.

iStopOver caters specifically to direct rental of space from one person to another.

iStopOver is the facilitator to connect Guests to Hosts. The interaction and rental process takes place directly between the Host and the Guest – in Internet terms, a peer-to-peer process. This means that hosts and guests communicate directly between each other.

iStopOver is the home for listings. Firstly, iStopOver provides advice and tools to easily create a listing and helps Hosts think through all aspects of renting out space. Then, iStopOver brings potential Guests to the website to find their ideal listing and we facilitate communication between Hosts and Guests. Once a booking is firmed between a Host and a Guest, iStopOver makes the financial transaction safe and simple by holding the money that a Guest pays on confirmation of a reservation (in a Trust account), and releasing it directly to the Host, one business day after a Guest checks in.
