This is a legal apartment & meets all fire & safety codes. (fire doors, hard wired smoke detectors, etc) It's good for people with allergies or environmental sensitivity. (High particulate air filter, cork flooring, low VOC paints.) The bedroom is not fancy but perfect if you just want somewhere to sleep at night. Lowr ceiling in bedroom but common rooms are high.

Our home is close to the Scarborough Bluffs and Lake Ontario. Public Transportation is a block away and gets you into the heart of the city in approx 30-40minutes. For those with a vehicle: we're right off the TransCanada highway and less the 10 minutes to hwy 401. Close to all major highway arteries. Go east to Ottawa or Montreal or north to Algonquin Park. Either way, it's a great location for accessing the CN Tower, Hockey Hall of Fame, Casa Loma, Canadas Wonderland, Rogers Centre, The Beaches etc. Which are all accessible with public transportation. Only one bus ride from the Toronto Zoo & the Ontario Science Centre.

It's perfect if you just want an inexpensive place to sleep for the night. (when we backpacked around Europe we dreamed of a cheap simple place like this.) This is NOT luxury or a hotel. We just happen to have an empty apartment for the summer and thought it might help travelers/students on a budget. We're happy to offer travel tips, directions & advice if you ask.

We love to travel and love to share unique things to do around the city with our guests. If we're not plugged into something you're interested in then chances are someone in our family will be. Whether it's traditional tourist hotspots, hiking/biking trails, farmers markets, unique sites for photographers, clubs or the music scene...etc. Feel free to share your interests with us and we'll do our best to get you going in the right direction. I even know where there are beaver dams 10 minutes from our house. Toronto has some great culturally diverse neighborhoods & festivals.
