This wonderful house with private garden is located in Venice Mainland, about 8 km away from the island (including the 5km bridge!), a mere 10 minute bus ride away.
It was built by our grandparents and renovated by me and my brother with lots of help from loving, qualified friends. It was our way to bring new life into this quiet house which includes 7 different rooms: big and bright entrance, large living room with fully working fireplace (careful though!). luminous kitchen with all that you may need, 1 bedroom with en-suite bathroom and huge wardrobe, 1 bedroom with lots of light coming in (yes, there are windows on all sides of the house), another small bedroom with sofa bed and desk, 1 bathroom with whirlpool bathtub/shower.
This makes it the perfect accomodation for small groups of 4 to 6 people.
It offers wi-fi internet, phone line (limited to local calls), tv and dvd player and a stereo with the finest selection of indian classical music, electronica, traditional tunes and a glimpse of the best music from the past century, from minimalism to avant-garde (yes, we are musicians!).
It is about 1.2 km away from Venice Mestre train station and the closest bus station to Venice is 120 meters, with buses running every 10/15 minutes (tickes is 1.2 euros). Right around the corner, within 250 meters you can find grocery stores, pizzeria, library, public park with children space (50 meters), pharmacy, newspaper stand. In less than 10 minutes by foot you can reach Venice Mestre downtown with the lovely piazza Ferretto, shops, theaters, post office and all that you may need.
We love organic vegetables and fruit, and we'll make sure to offer a small selection of selected seasoned local products, when available.
