The room:
A spacious single room on the upper floor with hardwood floors, air condition, cable TV and high speed wireless internet. Fully furnished with closets, dresser, desk, coffee maker, coffee, hair dryer, iron and ironing board bed linen and towels. Outside your door is a microwave and fridge for your use and a full bath is shared with the guest in the other room. Garage or on street visitor permit parking for one car and free laundry facilities. Host provides complimentary snacks on arrival.

The house:
A lovely 100+ year old Victorian home with 8 rooms and two baths. Two of the rooms and one bath are available for guests. There are hardwood floors throughout, two porches and a small yard. The house is filled with contemporary art because one of the owners is both an artist and a collector. This is a non smoking household and there are no pets.

The neighborhood:
A quiet, safe neighborhood of Victorian homes just 15 minutes walk to Harvard Square. There are several parks, reservoir, restaurants, bookstores, quaint shops and 10 cinemas. Art galleries, museums and historic homes abound. Do a 3 minute walk from the house and board up to 3 buses that take you to Harvard Square in 5 minutes. From Harvard Square you could go anywhere.

The Hosts:
We are mature professional empty nesters with more room than we need. I am a consultant and I work out of my home and my spouse is an artist and he teaches at a college in Boston. We are both vegetarians and we enjoy travel, contain gardening, long walks, cooking, theater and wholesome living and simplicity. We love meeting people and learning about different cultures and over the years we have hosted both national and international guests.

Ideal guest:
The ideal guest is a non smoker who would respect and appreciate our home and neighborhood. A typical guest is one who visits for work, study, interviews, graduations or to learn English. Some people just come to enjoy this wonderful city and for rest and relaxation. For our privacy and safety guests are not allowed to have overnight guests or romantic visits.
