Hey everyone! We recently added an exciting new feature to our listing page, so I thought I’d give a quick tutorial on how to upload your listing (which is FREE to do!). We’ve added the option of being able to list your space as a nightly rate, weekly or monthly, to give you the ultimate flexibility when renting out your space. Pretty neat!

So, without further ado, let’s get you listing your extra space – and getting an extra income!

On our iStopOver homepage, the ‘List Your Property’ button can be found on the top right hand corner on the page:

Give Your Listing a Catchy Title!

Make sure to give your accommodation a catchy title so that it attracts potential Guests! Enter in your exact address and it will appear on the Google Maps located to the right – once it’s verified, it’s all good!

 

Get Descriptive!

When your creating your listing, it’s easy to forget some details that a Guest might need to know. Put yourself in their shoes, what would you like to see? What attractions are close to you? Are you close to any major transit routes, shopping centres or restaurants? Think of all the details you can!

Tell 'Em What You Got!

Do you have any additional amenities? Do you offer airport pick-up? Laundry service? You can list and set the prices for your additional amenities!

Set Your Policies!

You can add how many guests you can accommodate. One, two, three? The choice is yours. You can also set your cancellation fee, just in case something happens and your Guest is unable to stay with you. The choice is yours, and we leave the cancellation fee totally up to you!

Nightly? Weekly? Monthly? You Decide!

This is something we’re happy to offer! You can list if your rates are nightly, weekly or monthly if you can accommodation longer stretches of time. Simply set your rates to what suits you!

Additional Information

This is where you can fill out your contact number (for our purposes – it will not be made public, the Guest will only see this upon booking confirmation), and list any additional instructions for your potential Guests and again, this information will only be made viewable once a booking confirmation is made.

 

It’s as easy as that! After you’re done with the listing information, all you need to do is upload your photos (make sure they’re nice and bright and up to date!), set your availability (if you have periods of time when you know you won’t be available, set it in this step – although it is optional), and set any seasonal rates you may have. All you need to do is ‘publish’ your listing et voila! It’s live on our site and the Guests will start inquiring about your extra space!
