Hi guys!
Did you know that the New York City Marathon is coming up on November 6th? The NYC Marathon is one of the most prestigious in the world, it has over 100,000 applicants every year! That’s a lot of runners hitting the pavement of NYC.
For many, the process of training for the marathon is gruesome. The NYC Marathon not only has some of the top athletes but beginner runners as well. Training can be exhausting, exhilarating and frustrating all at the same time. But, ultimately it’s rewarding knowing that you took the time and put your mind towards a great goal! That’s why we want to celebrate you!
We’re very excited to announce our New York City Marathon Contest! We’re offering a chance to win $500 in NYC iStopOver accommodation and an NYC care package. All you have to do is tell us why you’re running the marathon OR who you’re going to NYC to cheer for (making those signs and cheering your brains out for 4 hours is hard work too!) in the marathon.
Here’s what you have to do:
1. Visit our Facebook page – if you’re a fan, click on the contests tab. If you’re new – it will take you directly to our contest page. Or, click here to enter.
2. Tell us why you’re running the NYC Marathon (are you raising money? Is it for a family member? Is it for yourself?) go ahead – tell us! Or, if you’re going to cheer someone on, tell us who it is and why (Is dear old dad running? Your BFF?) you’re going to cheer ‘em on.
3. Get your friends to VOTE! The winner will be determined by the most amounts of votes on a submission. Spread the word and get your friends to help you win!
4. The winner will be announced on October 27, 2011 at Noon EST. The winning contestant MUST provide a copy of their official race registration or a copy of your friend’s registration.
It’s that easy! The marathon runs through 5 boroughs of NYC: Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan. Your legs (and voice) will be tired after all those miles, so you deserve to rest your weary legs in your very own NYC apartment at the end of the day!
Good luck to all those running (and cheering!). Will you be running? We’d love to hear your story.
Cheers!
Savannah
