How We Work
Olga wants to go to New York on vacation with her infant daughter. Olga browses iStopOver's listings and finds something she likes. It's a brownstone and belongs to Steve. Steve lives in New York City and has extra space to rent. Olga contacts Steve to find out more information. A few days later Olga books Steve's apartment through iStopOver. Olga pays iStopOver who holds her money until she checks in at Steve and is happy. It's fast, simple and fun for everyone.

iStopOver was started by some of Canada's leading startup experts. Our founders and managers are experienced technology entrepreneurs that have been creating and running Software and Internet businesses for over 25 years with a focus on building and operating market leading Internet businesses.
Anthony Lipschitz - CEO & Co-Founder
A serial entrepreneur, Anthony was VP Sales and Business Development at Brightspark, widely regarded as Canada's leading start-up experts. Prior to Brightspark, he was Executive Vice President and Co-Founder of AdvanceWare Solutions, a provider of wholesale distribution software. Anthony has also worked in advertising and marketing, conceiving and launching campaigns in numerous industries, as well as starting his own digital agency in 1999. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Media Arts degree from Long Island University.
Sean Maurik - Vice President, Technology
Sean has been involved in some of the most exciting technology companies in both Silicon Valley and Toronto. Time spent at Delrina, Symantec and Netscape gave him the background he needed to help found Delano Technologies, one of the NASDAQ's top IPOs in 2000. Since then Sean has helped with several startups in the mobile and web space and most recently managed the development team at Kobo Inc a leading eBook retailer.
Mark Skapinker - Board Member & Chairman
Mark is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Brightspark, one of Canada's leading early stage venture capital companies. A veteran with more than 25 years experience in software and technology, Mark's vision continues to prove invaluable. In 1988, Mark co-founded Delrina Corporation, growing its revenues to $150 million and managing its NASDAQ/ TSE IPOs, until its acquisition by Symantec in 1995. Mark also founded Balisoft Technologies Inc., later merging it with Servicesoft Technologies.
Kevin Patterson - Board Member
Kevin is Partner of JLA Ventures and has substantial experience in venture capital investing in technology companies. Prior to joining JLA Ventures in 2002, he spent several years at various technology companies. Kevin received his Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University and his Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
Scott Pelton - Board Member
Scott is Vice President, Investments for GrowthWorks Capital. Prior to joining GrowthWorks Capital in 2005, he spent five years at Scotiabank Private Equity Investments, most recently as Executive Director. Scott has his Bachelor of Computer Engineering and Management Degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario and works with several emerging company boards.
